Terms of Service

1. Who may play

You must be at least 13 years old to play Greedio, or at least 16 if you live in the EEA. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only play with the permission of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for any purchases made on their device.

2. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and play Greedio on devices you own or control, for your own private entertainment. Everything in the game — the code, artwork, music, characters and the Greedio name — belongs to us or our licensors and stays that way.

You agree not to copy, sell, rent or redistribute the game, not to reverse engineer or modify it, not to use cheats, bots, memory editors or modified clients, and not to work around any technical limitation, including those relating to ads and purchases.

3. Your account and progress

You can play anonymously. If you sign in with Google or with Apple, you are responsible for keeping that account secure, and you confirm that you are entitled to use it. Progress is stored on your device and, if you sign in, in our cloud storage. We do our best to keep saved progress intact, but we cannot guarantee that it will never be lost through device failure, a lost sign-in, or a technical fault.

4. Purchases

Greedio offers optional in-app purchases, currently the Starter Pack, “No Interruptions” (which removes automatic interstitial ads) and Infinity Overlord. All purchases are sold and billed by Apple through your App Store account, at the price shown at the time of purchase, including any applicable tax.

Purchases unlock content inside the game. Once a purchase has been delivered, it cannot be cancelled by us. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms; we cannot issue refunds ourselves, but you are welcome to contact us if something did not unlock correctly. Non-consumable purchases can be restored on your devices through the restore function in the game, as long as you use the same App Store account.

If you live in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content. By starting the download of purchased content immediately, you agree that this right expires once delivery has begun.

5. Virtual items

Coins, skins, upgrades, investments and every other in-game item are a licence to use them inside Greedio. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money or transferred outside the game, and cannot be traded or sold. We may change, rebalance, add or remove in-game items and their prices as the game develops. Your balances do not survive the discontinuation of the game.

6. Ads

The free version of Greedio is funded by advertising. Interstitial ads appear between runs, subject to the limits built into the game. Rewarded ads are always optional: you choose whether to watch one to continue a run. Automatic interstitial ads can be removed permanently with the “No Interruptions” purchase or the Starter Pack. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Leaderboard and conduct

Taking part in the leaderboard is optional. The display name you pick is visible to other players, so it must not be offensive, impersonate anyone, or contain personal contact details or advertising.

We may remove leaderboard entries, reset scores, or block access if we have good reason to believe a score was obtained by cheating, by manipulating the app, or by exploiting a bug, or if a display name breaks the rule above.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue Greedio and any of its online features at any time. Online features depend on services provided by third parties and may be interrupted or ended. We are not obliged to keep any specific feature, level or item available.

9. Termination

You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the game. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Purchases already delivered are not refunded when access ends because of a breach, unless the law requires otherwise.

10. Warranty and liability

Greedio is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be free of errors or that it will run without interruption on every device.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected. Beyond that, we are liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for the foreseeable damage typical of this kind of agreement where we breach an obligation essential to it. We are not liable for lost profits, lost game progress or indirect damage beyond that.

11. Apple

This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the game or for support, and has no obligation to provide maintenance for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by German law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr; we are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
