Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Greedio is developed and operated by Moritz Maximilian Fricke. For any privacy question or request, write to aimofoyou@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

2. What we collect

Data stored only on your device

Your game settings, audio preferences, unlocked content and the counters that control how often ads appear are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Account information

The app signs you in anonymously through Firebase Authentication when you first launch it. This creates a random user identifier that is not linked to your name or email address.

If you choose to sign in with Google or with Apple, we additionally receive the email address and display name associated with that account, so your progress can be recovered on another device. If you use Sign in with Apple with the “Hide My Email” option, we only ever see Apple’s relay address. We never receive your Google or Apple password.

Leaderboard data

If you take part in the leaderboard, the following is stored in Google Cloud Firestore under your user identifier: the display name you chose, your best distance score, your total wealth, your coin balance, your selected and unlocked skins, your upgrade and investment levels, and the time of the last update. The display name and scores are visible to other players in the in-game leaderboard, so please do not use your real name if you would rather stay anonymous.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment card details. Our purchase provider RevenueCat receives the product and transaction identifiers, your purchase and entitlement status, and an app user identifier, so that purchases can be unlocked and restored on your devices.

Advertising

Greedio shows interstitial ads between runs and optional rewarded ads that you can watch to continue a run. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. Depending on your region and your choices, AdMob and its advertising partners may process your IP address, an approximate location derived from it, device and operating system information, advertising identifiers, ad impressions and clicks, and diagnostic data.

On iOS, the app asks for your permission before your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) is used for advertising. If you decline, the game works exactly the same and you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.

If you email us, we process your message and your email address in order to answer you.

3. Why we use it

• To run the game, save your progress and let you recover it on another device.
• To operate the leaderboard and show rankings.
• To unlock, restore and manage purchases.
• To display ads, which is how the free version of the game is funded.
• To diagnose crashes, prevent cheating and abuse, and answer support requests.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract for running the game and your account, your consent for personalized advertising and for the use of the advertising identifier, and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and free of abuse. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond what is described above. These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. Your choices

Advertising

If you are in the EEA or the UK, the app shows a consent dialog the first time it starts, and you can reopen it at any time from the settings screen in the game to change or withdraw your choice. On iOS you can change the tracking permission under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings › Google › Ads.

Removing ads

Automatic interstitial ads can be switched off permanently with the “No Interruptions” purchase or the Starter Pack. Rewarded ads always remain your choice.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to receive a copy in a portable format. Write to aimofoyou@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, or include your in-game display name if you play anonymously. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your leaderboard entry and your account at any time using the address above. Uninstalling the app removes everything that is stored locally on your device, but does not by itself delete your leaderboard entry.

6. How long we keep it

Leaderboard and account data are kept for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete it, or if an account stays inactive for more than 24 months, the entry is removed. Purchase records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law. Support emails are kept for up to two years.

7. Children

Greedio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it. Because the game contains ads and in-app purchases, we recommend that parents enable the parental controls offered by Apple and Google.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with the access rules provided by Google Cloud. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where required, ask for your consent again inside the app.
